Jon ‘Peabo’ de Pabon
Originally from Los Angeles, Peabo has been fortunate to have opportunities that have taken him around the world. From New York City to Fiji to the Dominican Republic and Colombia, he has taken his experiences as a set painter/scenic for the Movie/TV industry and transformed them into visions that take his art to an unusual level.
His education began in Fashion Design and he graduated from FIDM in Los Angeles. While there, he earned a scholarship as well as an award for the ‘Most Outrageous Designer’. His creative spirit took him into the movie industry where he quickly became a talented and respected painter working on several TV shows and movies such as ‘Lawless’ and ‘Hitchcock’, as well as commercials and music videos. He eventually took on lead positions and furthered his skills. Peabo has also lent his painting skill and talent to residential jobs. Most notably is Gerard Butler’s loft in NYC, earning him and his partner acknowledgement in the acclaimed Architectural Digest.
His art has been a strong part of who he is since he was very young. His work has been seen as eccentric and intense. He uses many different mediums and this creates a dimensional aspect to his work. He draws from different influences in his creations, from graffiti to folk art. His work has been displayed in a few different shows that he has worked on and he has also donated pieces for the 9/11 fund, which were sold at auction.
Peabo currently lives in Los Angeles. When he isn’t busy with his two teenage boys, he is bringing his imagination to life in his pieces.
