A native of New Orleans, Bloodworth Botop has extensive experience in community development, strategic philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, fundraising and disaster planning and recovery. Her career includes implementing and managing a multi-state corporate foundation, working as executive director of several nonprofits and raising approximately $34 million for affordable housing on the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina. She has served in advocacy positions on behalf of low-income and underserved communities and secured funding for housing and healthcare programs for these beneficiaries. Bloodworth Botop has collaborated with all levels of government officials from local municipalities to congressional committees and has engaged thought leaders from around the world to create solutions for vulnerable populations.
Most recently, Bloodworth Botop was Senior Philanthropic Advisor for a $500M community foundation and has recently transitioned back to Architecture for Humanity as Senior Development Advisor to work with national and global government officials and funders to further Architecture for Humanity’s work in communities around the world.
