More than ever businesses large and small must re-evaluate their business model. Now that the economy is rebounding have you identified what your business model should be? In other words, have you successfully identified how your business will make money? What is your new normal? How much of your old model is still working for you. The “new business model” is the buzz phrase of the day; the driving force behind how companies are doing business in the aftermath of a severe economic downturn. Social media, edgy innovation, and globalization have had a huge impact on how designers conduct business today. The learner will be able to understand why evaluating your business model is critical to the health of your business, hear examples of models that are working—design and/or non-design related, and identify critical characteristics of all business models.
