I am a member of the media and would like to cover Dwell on Design. How do I sign up to get a Media Pass?

Members of the media are invited to request a media pass online. Your registration status will be pending until your credentials are approved. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation after your Media Pass is approved. Please bring this confirmation with you when you sign in at the Press/Media check-in counter at Dwell on Design 2014.

When will you mail me my Media Pass?
We will not mail you a Media Pass. Please check-in at the Press/Media desk to collect your Media Pass when you arrive at Dwell on Design in the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The Media Pass includes:
- Access to the entire show floor, which houses over 400 exhibitors
- Access to all of the panels and discussions on the three stages
- Use of the Media Lounge (Open to Speakers and Press)
How do I secure interviews with on-stage presenters?

Once you are confirmed as media, you will receive a follow-up e-mail that lists the show highlights and available interviews. Simply fill out the questionnaire, checking off the panelists or aspects of the show that interest you most, and we will connect you with the appropriate parties.

Will there be a pressroom at Dwell on Design?
There is a dedicated Media Lounge, which is available to press and speakers, at Dwell on Design. When you arrive at Dwell on Design, you can visit the Media Lounge to pick up press materials or pick them up directly from exhibitor booths. You can also stop by the Media Lounge if you need wifi to send in a story.

May I bring a camera crew to Dwell on Design?

We welcome broadcast media at Dwell on Design. We will need each member of your crew (photographers, cameramen, etc.) to register separately for their Media Passes. If there are three people in your group, you will need three Media Passes. Please contact us directly to coordinate.

Exhibitors and PR Reps

My company/client is exhibiting at Dwell on Design. Will there be a pressroom where I can place press kits?
This year we will have a dedicated Presenter & Press Room where you may drop off your press kits.   Exhibitors and PR reps may also hold press materials at their respective booths and have them ready to hand directly to media as they stop by their respective booths. There will also be space in the VIP Lounge where exhibitors can place their press materials.
In the interest of reducing waste, please consider creating electronic press kits.  Please do not send press materials to the convention center in advance of the show.
How many press kits should I bring?

This is entirely up to your company’s discretion. Dwell on Design expects to welcome 25,000 visitors this year, including hundreds of media. Please plan accordingly but keep in mind that most media do not want to walk the show floor weighed down by press kits.

My company/client has an electronic press kit. Where may I upload this information and what should I include?

We no longer host electronic press kits. When company/client submit their electronic Exhibitor Directory Form they should list their respective Press/Media contact. Interested reporters who are scouting will have access to the Press/Media contact information to reach out to to see what brand will be showing at Dwell on Design 2014.

I have scheduled interviews with the media, where will these be held?

These will be held either inside or directly outside the Presenter/Press Lounge in interview rooms.

Can you send me the list of media who have signed up to attend Dwell on Design 2014?

As a general policy, we do not share individual press contacts from the media list; however, we can send you a list of outlets who will have a presence at the show this year, and encourage you to reach out to your contacts at those respective publications.
