Paper Punk

Help create a major paper metropolis that will grow and change throughout the weekend. Grace Hawthorne, Stanford d.School associate professor, ReadyMade founder, and Paper Punk inventor, will host a hands-on workshop using pieces from her Urban Fold kit, which consists of foldable paper buildings and colorful stickers.

Stroll through four pavilions curated by Dwell editors: Design for Humankind, Modern Family, Energy 360/Technology, and Scandinavian. Each includes an exhibition of stunning photographs from Dwell’s pages, and artworks and designs that speak to each theme. Don’t miss our Design for Tomorrow pavilion, which showcases the latest work by students from the top architecture and design schools in the country.  Dwell Store Pop-Up

The first physical manifestation of the Dwell Store, which launched online in the fall, will cater to design seekers shopping for their modern homes. Find 50 cash-and-carry products we’ve sourced from around the globe, including an exclusive-to-Dwell jewelry stand by Montreal designer Zoë Mowatand (pictured), and catch daily meet-and-greets with designers featured in the pop-up.

Design Prize Switzerland

For 12 years, the Design Prize Switzerland jury has recognized local talent working to advance the design field in their country. This year’s pieces range from running shoes to textiles to furniture, including Etage by Moritz Schmid and Dadadum’s Cresta chair, which will be on view in a rare U.S. exhibition on our show floor. Design Prize curator Michel Hueter and Swissnex’s Sophie Lamparter will also appear onstage. READ MORE
